My Background
I have been married for over 30 years. I have 3 grown children, two daughters and a son. My upbringing was in a working poor family and consisted of a combination of risk and resilience factors, which enables me to empathize with people who are struggling. As a child, I experienced what it feels like to grow up with difficulties. As an adult, I have experienced what it takes to overcome those challenges. Personally, I am committed to life-long learning and assisting others through that process.
Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach is to use evidence-based, multi-faceted theories and techniques to help clients heal, restore function and emerge resilient. I lead clients to identify and access their inner strengths to move past points of being stuck. I have experience working with trauma, grief, PTSD, pain management, chronic medical conditions, eating disorders, ADHD, depression, anxiety, bi-polar, stress-management, children, adolescence and marriage and family issues.
Educational Services
My psychoeducational trainings are motivational discussions centered on resilient living strategies. These can be held in small groups or large corporate organizations as trainings or fund-raisers. As an educator and coach, my perspective and approach are unique because I have an educational background in bio-medical science as well as the psychological field. I am uniquely qualified to assist clients to maximize the potential of their mind/body connection.
